Color has always fascinated me, from my early "stained-glass" tissue paper art projects in junior high to quilting projects, watercolor painting and now glass and dye. Living in Alaska for almost 20 years has allowed me to see everyday beautiful colors all around. Fiber and glass each have unique opportunities for color expression. Fiber allows us to "feel" what color has to offer - tactility and emotionally. The reflective qualities of glass give color a vibrant dimension and depth that reminds us of the natural world and all the beauty it has to offer.
